about
This track was written for anyone facing a challenge in their lives - as we all do from time to time - but I was particularly thinking of people affected by the devastating floods which have hit the North of the UK. As a result, I am undertaking to donate at least 20% of the proceeds from this song to the flood victims.
I am also hugely grateful to my son, Paul Wilkes, who agreed to do the lead vocal on this track, much better than my original version!
So if you like it, please buy it and share the link with your friends - thank you.
Phil
lyrics
The Tide Will Turn
The storm has come and the wind has blown
But hold on, you're not alone
You can dream and the road is long
Have the courage to battle on
Keep your head when things go wrong
The tide will turn and it won't be long
It will get better from now on
Trust yourself, you know you're strong
You live and learn or you don't live long
You can dream and the road is long
Hold on tight against the flow
Hold the line against the foe
The tide will turn so stay strong
It will get better from now on
Hold fast against the flood
Give it time it will all come good
You can dream and the road is long
What doesn't kill you makes you stronger
Just keep going a little longer
The tide will turn so stay strong
It will get better from now on
Have the courage to battle on
Keep your head when things go wrong
The tide will turn and it won't be long
It will get better from now on
It will get better from now on
It will get better so stay strong
